Ingredients
2 potatoes
4 parvals / Pointed gourd / Goint
5 tsp oil
1tsp cumin seeds/jeera
3-4 methi seeds/ fenugreek
1/4 tsp hing / asafoetida
1/2 tsp turmeric / haldi pdr
2 tsp red chilli pdr
1 tsp goda masala or garam masala
Salt to taste
1/2 cup fresh curds
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Procedure
Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into cubes
Wash and lightly scrape the outer skin of parval and cut into cubes
In a cooker heat oil, add jeera, methi and hing, fry for a minute
Add parval, potato cubes, salt to taste and all the spice powders,1/4 cup water and close the lid
Take 1 or 2 whistles, open the lid after steam is released
Add curds and cook for 2-3 mins, garnish with chopped coriander leaves
You can also prepare this in Kadai.
