Andhra Chilli Chicken




Ingredients


1 kg without skin chicken cut into medium pieces(I used boneless pieces)

20-25 green chillies(10-12 coarsely ground and remaining slit lengthwise)

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 lemon

1 medium-sized onion chopped

2 tbsp oil

1-4 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

Salt to taste



Procedure


  • Marinate the chicken pieces with half of the lemon juice, turmeric powder, salt, half of the pepper powder and ground green chilli paste for 3-4 hrs

  • Heat oil and fry the slit green chillies till transparent, remove and keep aside

  • In the same pan fry onions till golden brown

  • Add the marinated chicken , fry till oil leaves the sides

  • Transfer it into a steel bowl and cook in the cooker without adding water to the chicken

  • Pressure cook 5-10 mins

  • Transfer to the original pan, add fried green chillies, remaining pepper powder, lemon juice and simmer for 5 mins

  • And Andhra chilli chicken is ready to eat.
