Ingredients
1/4 cup Toor dal
2 tomatoes
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp tamarind pulp
1/2 tsp peppercorns
2 tsp cumin seeds
5 garlic cloves
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Procedure
In cooker put Toor dal, chopped tomatoes and turmeric powder with 3 cups of water and take 4-5 whistles
Open the lid and transfer it into a vessel and blend it little
Dry roast cumin and peppercorns and crush with garlic
Add this to rasam with tamarind pulp and make it boil
Add salt to taste and temper with mustard and curry leaves
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Serve hot with rice and papad
