Ingredients
1 cup cooked rice
5 tsp oil
2 tsp chana dal
1 tsp mustard
2 tsp urad dal
3 tsp peanuts
1 red chilli
Curry leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
Ingredients to be ground:
In 2 tsp oil fry
2 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1/2 tsp hing / asafoetida
2 tbsp grated coconut
3 red chillies
3 tsp grated raw mango
Roast these for 5 mins and make a dry paste
Procedure
Heat oil in a Kadai, add mustard, when it starts crackling add curry leaves, chana dal, urad dal, peanuts and fry till the nuts turn light brown and crisp
Add turmeric powder, red chilli bits and ground paste. Fry for a while and add the cooked rice
Add salt to taste and toss well. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with raita or wafers.
