Anjal / King Fish Fry

Ingredients


4 slices of Seer fish/ Anjal fish

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying

1/4 cup rice flour

2 tbsp fine Rava


For the masala paste

10 Byadgi chillies

1/2 tsp coriander seeds

Chana dal size Hing/ asafoetida

Salt to taste

Little tamarind

Make fine, a thick paste of the above-mentioned ingredients



Procedure

  • Clean the fish slices, apply little salt to all the slices

  • Coat the slices with the prepared chilli paste according to your taste and keep for minimum 3 mins

  • Mix rice flour and Rava and put in a plate

  • Heat oil, roll each slice in the rice flour, Rava mixture

  • Deep fry the fish on a medium flame till it becomes crisp

  • Serve hot with rice and dal.

NOTE: You can use the same recipe for any fish.

Store the remaining chilli paste in the freezer and use as and when you need it.
