Appe Huli / Raw Mango Rasam

This is a typical Havyak Brahmin recipe from Sirsi, North Karnataka!! You can enjoy this with hot rice. You can also have this as an appetizer.






Ingredients

1 small raw mango

1 small green chilli

Salt to taste

Jaggery to taste (optional)

Water as needed


For the tempering:

1 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

curry leaves

pinch hing(asafoetida pdr)

1 broken red chilli




Procedure


  • Cook the raw mango in a cooker with little water

  • Peel it and extract the pulp

  • Take around 3 tbsp pulp, add water, salt, jaggery to taste, crushed green chilli ad mix well

  • Temper with the mentioned ingredients

  • serve chilled with hot rice.
