Baby corn Chilli





Ingredients


12 nos of baby corns

oil for frying + 5 tsp for seasoning

10 garlic cloves finely chopped

1/2 inch ginger finely chopped

2 green chillies finely chopped

2 onions chopped

3 tsp soya sauce

1 tsp tomato ketchup

1 tsp chilli sauce

1/2 tsp vinegar

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp ajinamoto (optonal)

2tsp cornflour diluted in 1/4 cup water


For garnishing:

3 tsp roasted white sesame seeds(til)

coriander leaves


Make thick batter of following ingredients:

1/2 cup corn flour

1/4 cup rice flour

2 tsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp pepper powder

Salt to taste

little water




Procedure

  • Cut baby corns into 2 pieces (lengthwise)

  • Mix with the prepared batter and deep fry till it becomes crispy

  • In a pan heat oil, saute chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and onions on a high flame

  • Add all the ingredients no 7 to 13 and fry for a minute

  • Add the cornflour slurry, when it starts boiling and becomes thick add fried corns, salt to taste

  • Garnish with roasted sesame seeds and coriander leaves

  • Serve hot with rice or noodles.
