Ingredients
12 nos of baby corns
oil for frying + 5 tsp for seasoning
10 garlic cloves finely chopped
1/2 inch ginger finely chopped
2 green chillies finely chopped
2 onions chopped
3 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp chilli sauce
1/2 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp ajinamoto (optonal)
2tsp cornflour diluted in 1/4 cup water
For garnishing:
3 tsp roasted white sesame seeds(til)
coriander leaves
Make thick batter of following ingredients:
1/2 cup corn flour
1/4 cup rice flour
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp pepper powder
Salt to taste
little water
Procedure
Cut baby corns into 2 pieces (lengthwise)
Mix with the prepared batter and deep fry till it becomes crispy
In a pan heat oil, saute chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and onions on a high flame
Add all the ingredients no 7 to 13 and fry for a minute
Add the cornflour slurry, when it starts boiling and becomes thick add fried corns, salt to taste
Garnish with roasted sesame seeds and coriander leaves
Serve hot with rice or noodles.
