Batate Vaagu/Spicy Potato Sabzi

Ingredients


15 nos boiled, peeled baby potatoes

5 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp urad dal

1 tsp asafoetida

curry leaves

3-4 tsp red chilli powder

2 tsp tamarind paste

1/4 cup grated coconut

Salt to taste




Procedure


  • In a Kadai take oil and add all the tempering ingredients one by one

  • Put red chilli powder and fry for 2 minutes

  • Add tamarind paste, and 1/4 cup water and mix well

  • Put the boiled potatoes, salt and cook for 5 minutes

  • Add grated coconut and toss well

  • Serve hot with rice or roti
