Cabbage Sprout Sabji





Ingredients

1/2 cup mixed sprout boiled

2 cups finely chopped cabbage

Salt to taste

chopped coriander leaves

1/2 tsp lemon juice


For the tempering:

4 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp chana dal/Bengal gram dal

1 tsp urad dal/ Skinless split black pigeon

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

curry leaves


To be ground into coarse masala:

1/4 cup grated fresh coconut

3 green chillies

2 tsp cumin seeds/jeera





Procedure

  • In a pan heat oil and make the tempering with the ingredients

  • Add cabbage, salt and cook with a lid covered

  • when it is almost cooked add boiled sprouts, masala, lemon juice and cook for another 10 mins

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
