Capsi Coconut Masala






Ingredients

1 cup chopped capsicum

1/2 cup cauliflower florets

3 tblsp finely grated fresh coconut

1/2 tsp tamarind juice

2 tsp sambar powder

1/2 tsp haldi powder (turmeric)

2 tsp peanuts

2 tsp sesame seeds

Salt to taste

chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

for tempering:

3 tsp oil

2 tsp chana dal

1 tsp mustard

curry leaves




Procedure

  • Dry roast peanuts n sesame seeds separately and make powder

  • In a pan heat oil and add the tempering ingredients

  • Put chopped capsicum and cauliflower florets

  • sprinkle little water and cover with a lid

  • when it is almost cooked add coconut grated, turmeric powder, sambar powder, salt to taste, and peanut-sesame seeds powder

  • Stir well,add tamarind paste and chopped coriander leaves

  • Serve hot with roti or hot rice.
