Cashew Chicken





Ingredients

2 chicken breast pieces

5 tsp oil

2 finely sliced onions

5-6 cashew nuts

1 tsp ghee

Salt to taste

Chopped coriander leaves


For the marination:

1/2 cup curd

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp ginger garlic paste

Salt to taste


To make fine powder:

In 1 tsp oil fry one handful curry leaves and 1/4 cup cashew nuts and make powder with 4 tsp red chilli powder




Procedure

  • Heat oil in a pan, saute cashews, onions till light brown

  • Add the marinated chicken, ground powder and toss well

  • Add salt and 1/4 cup water, cook till done

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and cashew nuts

  • Serve hot with rice or pulav.
