Cauliflower Sukke/ Sukkha


Ingredients


2 cups cauliflower / Gobi finely chopped

2 onions finely chopped

6 tsp oil

Curry leaves

Salt to taste


For the masala:

3/4 cup grated coconut

2 tsp coriander seeds

1 tsp jeera +1/2 tsp

4 methi seeds

3 garlic cloves

5 byadgi red chillies

chickpea size tamarind

In 1/2 tsp oil roast coriander seeds, methi, 1 tsp jeera and red chillies

First, grind these roasted spices, then add the grated coconut, tamarind, garlic cloves and half tsp jeera. Grind into a semi coarse paste adding little water, and keep aside.




Procedure

  • Finely chop gobi/ cauliflower, wash well and cook with little water and salt

  • Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves and chopped onions, saute till it turns light brown

  • Add the masala paste and fry well for 5 mins

  • Now add the boiled cauliflower and salt if needed

  • cook it further for 5 more mins or till it becomes dry

  • Serve hot with rice or roti.
