Chickpeas Masala






Ingredients


1 cup soaked and boiled chickpeas / Kabuli chana

2 chopped onions

1 chopped tomato

1 slit green chilli

1 tsp Kasuri methi

1/2 tsp turmeric pdr

4 tsp oil

Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing


For the masala:

In 1 tsp oil roast 1 tsp coriander seeds,1/2 tsp cumin seeds,1 clove, a small piece of cinnamon

Grind the above-roasted ingredients with2 tblsp grated coconut, 1/2 onion,4 garlic cloves, a ginger piece and 2 tsp red chilli pdr




Procedure

  • In oil saute chopped onions till the pinkish colour

  • Add chopped tomatoes, green chilli , turmeric pdr and Kasuri methi and fry for 5 mins

  • Put the masala paste and fry till the raw smell goes

  • Add the boiled chana, salt to taste and 1/2 cup water and make it boil

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti
