Chilli Garlic Prawns





Ingredients


250 gms cleaned,deveined prawns

4 tsp oil

1 onion

2 green chillies

1/4 cup red and green capsicum cut into pieces

5 finely chopped garlic cloves

1 tsp red chilli sauce

1 tsp soya sauce

1/2 tsp vinegar

1 tsp corn flour

1/2 tsp red chilli flakes

Salt to taste

3 tsp finely chopped spring onion




Procedure


  • In 1 tsp oil saute prawns with a little salt, till it is half done

  • Cut the onion into cubes and separate the layers

  • In a pan heat the remaining oil and saute chopped garlic, onion and slit green chillies for 3-4 minutes

  • Add chopped capsicum and saute for 2 minutes

  • Put the sauces,chilli flakes, vinegar and cornflour mixed in 1/2 cup water(if you want it dry then add less water)

  • When it starts boiling and becomes thick add the half-cooked prawns, salt to taste and keep covered till the prawns are cooked

  • Garnish with chopped spring onion

  • Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
