Cluster Beans Sukke/ Semi-dry Curry



Ingredients


1 cup cluster beans, gawar ki phalli / gorikayi , washed and cut into 1-inch pieces

1 potato cut into pieces

Salt to taste

Jaggery to taste


For the masala:

In 1 tsp oil roast 2 tsp urad dal,1 tsp coriander seeds,4-5 red chillies and 4-5 methi seeds

Grind the above ingredients 3/4 cup coconut gratings, little tamarind


For the tempering:

3 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

curry leaves



Procedure

  • Cook cluster beans and potato pieces with 1/2 cup water with a little salt, in the cooker for 2 whistles

  • Once it is cooked, add the masala, salt, jaggery and boil it for 5 mins

  • Add the tempering and mix well

  • Serve hot with rice and dal.
