Ingredients
2 crabs, cleaned and cut into pieces
5 tsp oil
2 chopped onions
curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 finely grated fresh coconut (only white part)
For the masala paste:
1 tsp oil
3 tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp cumin seeds
5 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp mustard
5 methi /fenugreek seeds
4 peppercorns
8-10 red chillies (byadgi or Kashmiri)
Procedure
In oil roast the above-mentioned masala ingredients and grind to a fine paste and keep aside
In a pan heat oil and saute curry leaves and chopped onions till it becomes light brown
Add crab pieces and cook for 10 minutes
Put the masala paste with little water and cook for another 10 minutes
Add salt and grated coconut and toss well till it becomes dry
Serve hot with any rice.
