Crispy Plain Dosa

Ingredients


1 cup dosa rice

1 cup urad dal / skinless split black gram

3/4 cup moong dal / skinless split green gram

1 tsp methi/fenugreek seeds

1 cup of rice flour

1 cup maida

Salt to taste

Oil or ghee for cooking dosa


Procedure

  • Soak rice, urad dal, moong dal, and methi in water for 5-6 hrs

  • Wash well and grind into a smooth batter and keep overnight for fermentation

  • Meanwhile, mix maida and rice flour in water and make a thick paste and keep aside overnight

  • Next morning mix rice flour and maida with the ground batter, add salt, and mix well

  • Heat Tava and make thin dosas adding 2-3 tsp oil

  • No need to flip the dosa, serve hot dosa with coconut chutney or sambar
