Ingredients
1 cup curd / thick buttermilk
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
Salt to taste
For the roasting:
1 tblsp coriander seeds/ daniya
1 tblsp toor dal
1 tsp peppercorns
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
For the tempering:
1 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1/4 tsp hing/ asafoetida
1 red chilli cut into bits
1 slit gren chilli
Curry leaves
Procedure
Roast the ingredients in a pan till it turns golden brown, remove and make a fine powder
Take curd in a bowl add in water, salt, turmeric pdr, powdered spices and mix well
Heat oil in a pan add in all the tempering ingredients and saute for 2 mins
Add in the curd mixture and give a quick boil
Turn off the flame and serve hot with rice.
