Ingredients
2 cups thin poha/ avalakki/ beaten rice
1 finely chopped onion
1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
1 tsp lemon juice
chopped coriander leaves
Salt and sugar to taste
For the tempering:
4 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
curry leaves
3-4 chopped green chillies
1 tsp turmeric pdr/ haldi
1/2 tsp asafoetida / hing pdr
3 tsp peanuts
Procedure
In a bowl mix poha, onion, coconut gratings,salt and sugar ,keep covered for 15 ins under one pressure
In a kadai put oil ,add the tempering ingredients and fry well
Add the tempering to the poha mixture
Put lime juice ,coriander leaves and mix well
Serve with hot coffee or tea.
