Ingredients
2 cups gobi/cauliflower cut into florets
5 tsp oil
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
For the masala:
2 onions roughly chopped
6 flakes of garlic
2 tsp poppy seeds/ khus khus
6 cashew nuts
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilli pdr or 5 red chillies
2 cloves
cinnamon small piece
2 tsp coriander seeds/ daniya seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds /jeera
2 tbsp coconut grated
Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste.
Procedure
Put the cut gobi florets in warm salt water for 10 mins
Marinate the florets with the masala, salt and keep for 5 mins
Heat oil in a pan and arrange the marinated gobi florets in it, put 1/4 cup water and cover with a lid
Cook till gobi is cooked and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Serve hot with hot roti.
