Gobi Masaledar

Ingredients

2 cups gobi cut into florets

1/4 cup chopped onion

4 tsp oil

curry leaves

1 chopped tomato

Salt to taste

chopped coriander leaves


For the masala:

1/4 cup fresh grated coconut

2 tsp red chilli pdr

3 tsp peanuts roasted

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp khus khus (poppy seeds)

1 small piece cinnamon(dalchini)

1/2 inch ginger

6 garlic cloves

Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste adding little water only if needed.




Procedure

  • Cut the gobi and put in saltwater for 10 mins

  • In a Kadai take oil and put curry leaves, chopped onion and saute till onion becomes transparent

  • Add chopped tomato and fry for 4-5 mins

  • Add gobi, salt and cover with a lid

  • When it is half cooked add the masala and cook again

  • Don't add water.

  • when it is done garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
