Gobi Matar Kurma





Ingredients

2 tsp oil + 1 tsp ghee

1 bay leaf

1 cinnamon

3 cardamom

3 cloves

2green chillies chopped

2 finely chopped onions

2 chopped tomatoes

1 cup gobi cut into florets

1 cup matar/ green peas

1/2 cup milk

Chopped coriander leaves


For the masala paste:

6 cashew nuts

1/4 cup grated coconut

1 tsp poppy seeds

6 cloves garlic

2 inches ginger

1 tsp red chilli pdr

1/2 tsp turmeric pdr

2 tsp coriander pdr

1.5 tsp salt

1 tsp garam masala

1/4 cup yogurt

Grind the above into a fine paste, using half a cup of water.





Procedure

  • In cooker heat, oil and ghee, add the whole garam masala, chopped green chillies, onions, tomatoes, gobi florets, green peas, ground masala paste

  • Mix well and close the lid of the cooker

  • Cook for 3 whistles

  • Once the steam is released, open the lid, add the milk and give one boil

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, naan or phulkas and enjoy.
