Gobi Pepper Dry / Cauliflower Pepper Dry







Ingredients

2 cups gobi/cauliflower cut into florets

2 tbsp oil

6 crushed garlic cloves

1/2 inch crushed ginger

1 slit green chilli

2 finely sliced onions

1 finely chopped tomato

1/2 tsp turmeric/haldi powder

1/4tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp pepper powder

Salt to taste

Chopped coriander leaves




Procedure

  • Wash gobi florets and put in a bowl of hot water with salt

  • Close and keep covered for 10 minutes. after ten minutes drain the water and keep the gobi florets aside.

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add gobi florets and saute for 10 minutes or till it turns light brown.

  • Remove the florets into a bowl. Add the remaining oil to the same pan, add crushed ginger, slit green chilli and crushed garlic.

  • Saute till garlic turns golden brown. add sliced onions and saute till they turn light brown.

  • Put chopped tomato and cook till it turns mushy.

  • Now add the spice powders and saute for a second.

  • Add the sauteed gobi florets, salt to taste and pepper powder, giving a good mix.

  • Cook further for 5 more minutes, garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot with rice or roti.
