Ingredients
2 cups gobi/cauliflower cut into florets
2 tbsp oil
6 crushed garlic cloves
1/2 inch crushed ginger
1 slit green chilli
2 finely sliced onions
1 finely chopped tomato
1/2 tsp turmeric/haldi powder
1/4tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp pepper powder
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
Procedure
Wash gobi florets and put in a bowl of hot water with salt
Close and keep covered for 10 minutes. after ten minutes drain the water and keep the gobi florets aside.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add gobi florets and saute for 10 minutes or till it turns light brown.
Remove the florets into a bowl. Add the remaining oil to the same pan, add crushed ginger, slit green chilli and crushed garlic.
Saute till garlic turns golden brown. add sliced onions and saute till they turn light brown.
Put chopped tomato and cook till it turns mushy.
Now add the spice powders and saute for a second.
Add the sauteed gobi florets, salt to taste and pepper powder, giving a good mix.
Cook further for 5 more minutes, garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
