Gudpapdi is a traditional Gujarati dish made from wheat flour and jaggery, typically prepared during auspicious occasions in Gujarati households.
Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour/atta
5 tbsp ghee
3/4 cup powdered jaggery
1 tsp cardamom powder
8 chopped almonds
Procedure
Heat ghee in a kadai, roast the flour in a medium flame until color changes and you get a nice aroma
Once the flour turns golden brown, turn off the flame, add the cardamom powder and powdered jaggery
Make sure to use the jaggery without lumps
Once the jaggery melts, transfer it to a greased plate and level it.
Cut into desired shapes and let it cool
Store in an airtight jar once it comes to room temperature
