Ingredients
For Shanghai Chicken:
150 gms Chicken strips (boneless)
2 tbsp diced Red Bell Pepper
2 tbsp diced Green Bell Pepper
2 tbsp Yellow Bell Pepper
1 diced medium sized Onion
For the sauce:
3 tbsp Chopped Green Onion
1 tbsp Chilli flakes
1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
3 tsp Soya Sauce
3 tsp Tomato Ketchup
1 tsp Vinegar
2-3 tbsp Water
For Hakka Noodles:
1 Packet noodles
1 chopped Onion
1 slit Green chilli
1/2 cup Chopped Carrot
1/2 cup Mushrooms
1/2 cup Chopped Bell Peppers
2 tsp Pepper Powder
2 tsp Soya Sauce
1 tsp Vinegar
Salt to Taste
Procedure
To make shanghai chicken heat 3-4 tsp Oil in a pan and fry the chicken strips. once they are cooked take them out and keep them aside.
In the same pan fry the diced Onions and all the Bell peppers and later keep them aside.
Add little oil to the pan if needed, fry the chopped green onions.
Add ginger-garlic paste,chilli flakes, soya sauce, ketchup, vinegar and salt to taste.
Add water after frying for 2-3 mins.
Add the fried chicken and veggies to the sauce.
Serve hot with Noodles or Fried Rice.
To make noodles heat 2-3 tsp Oil in a pan and saute the Onions with Green chilli.
Add the Chopped bell peppers and carrot and fry for 4-5 mins.
Now add the diced Mushrooms and fry for another 5-6 mins.
Add the boiled noodles, pepper powder, soya sauce, vinegar and salt. Toss well.
Serve with ketchup or any Chinese Gravy.
