Jada Poha Chivda




Ingredients


1 cup thick beaten rice / jada poha

1/2 cup peanuts

1/4 cup cashew nuts

1/4 cup raisins

1/2 cup Khara boondi

4 sprigs of curry leaves

Salt to taste

Sugar powder to taste

Red chilli powder to taste

1 tsp turmeric powder

Oil for deep frying




Procedure

  • Keep all the ingredients on a plate, heat oil in a deep Kadai

  • Take a fine sieve with a handle, place one fistful of poha in it

  • Immerse the sieve with poha in medium hot oil, fry till they expand and become crisp, don't brown them

  • Remove on a tissue paper, repeat with the remaining ingredients

  • Crush the deep-fried curry leaves slightly

  • Add turmeric powder,chilli powder, sugar powder, salt to the deep-fried ingredients

  • Mix well and store in an airtight jar once it comes to room temperature
