Tambuli is a combination of curds and ground coconut paste with some spices and tempered with mustard and curry leaves. This is very common in North Karnataka brahmin's Menu. Any meal is incomplete without this Tambuli. This is something liquid like rasam to enjoy with hot rice especially in summer.
Ingredients
1/4 cup fresh curds
Salt to taste
For the tempering:
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
Curry leaves
Pinch of hing
1 broken red chilli
To be ground to paste:
In 1 tsp oil roast1 green chilli,2 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds and grind with 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut, salt into a smooth paste adding little water
Procedure
Take curds and ground paste in a bowl, add water and adjust the consistency (semi-thick)
Add the tempering and serve with rice.
