Ingredients
1 cup Jola / sweet corn kernels( boiled)
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1/4 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
1 sprig curry leaf
1 broked red chilli
Pinch of hing/ asafoetida
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Ingredients to make paste:
1/4cup grated fresh coconut
1 or 2 green chillies
Coarsely grind the above ingredients without water
Procedure
Heat oil in a Kadai, add mustard, once it crackles add curry leaves,red chili bits,hing, jeera and fry for a second
Add the coconut paste, and saute for a minute
now drop in the boiled corn kernels, salt to taste, and toss well
Check for the salt, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice and turn off the flame
And your jolada usli is ready to serve with rice and dal.
