Ingredients
1/2 cup moong dal(split green gram)
1/2 cup chana dal Split Bengal gram)
2 turnips(shalgam)
1 chopped onion
4 tsp oil
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 red chillies
1/2 inch chopped ginger
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp saunf powder (fennel seeds)
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp lime juice
Procedure
Cook dal in cooker with 1 cup water and turnip cut into cubes and turmeric powder for 3-4 whistles
In a pan heat oil and saute onion for 5 minutes
Add red chilies,chilli powder, chopped ginger,saunf powder,garam masala, and fry for 2 minutes
Add cooked dal with turnip,1/4 cup water, and salt to taste and make it boil for 5-10 minutes
Add lime juice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Serve with rotis.
