Ingredients
For Kofta:
1 cup Kathal/ Raw jackfruit cut into cubes (boiled n mashed)
2 small potatoes (boiled n mashed)
2 green chillies finely chopped
1/2 tsp crushed ginger and garlic
1 tbsp cornflour or bread crumbs
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
4 tsp cornflour for outer coating
For the masala paste:
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
4 garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger
8 cashewnuts
Grind the above ingredients and make a fine paste.
For the tempering:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp Kasuri methi
2 tbsp curd
2 tsp fresh cream
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
Procedure
Mix the ingredients no 1 to 9 and make equal balls/koftas
Roll each kofta in corn flour and deep fry into crisp and brown colour koftas and keep aside
In a Kadai heat oil and put cumin seeds
Add the ground masala paste and fry till the raw smell disappears.
Add chilli powder, Garam masala powder, curd, salt to taste and little water
Boil the gravy and add Kasuri methi and fresh cream and stir well
Add koftas and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti, naan or phulkas.
