Ingredients
1 cup lapsi/ gehun ka daliya/ broken wheat
2 cups jaggery powder
4 cups water + 1 cup
2 tsp cardamom powder
2 -3 tbsp ghee
Some chopped nuts and raisins
Procedure
Put daliya/ lapsi and 1 tbsp ghee in cooker and roast until light brown in color on a medium flame
Once it is well roasted add 4 cups water and cook it for 4 whistles or until it is cooked well
In a vessel take jaggery and 1 cup water and boil till jaggery dissolves
Add cooked lapsi to this liquid jaggery and cook
Add the remaining ghee and cook till it becomes dry
Garnish with cardamom powder, raisins and nuts roasted in ghee
Serve hot and enjoy.
