Makai Methi Ki Poori





Ingredients


1 cup Makki ka atta/ maize flour

2 tblsp wheat flour

1/2 cup finely chopped fenugreek/methi leaves

1/4 tsp coriander powder

1/4 tsp red chilli powder

Pinch of hing/ asafoetida

Pinch of garam masala

2 tsp oil

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying




Procedure

  • Combine all the ingredients no 1 to no 9 in a bowl and mix well

  • Adding warm water gradually knead it into a smooth dough and keep covered for 20 mins

  • Divide the dough into portions and make balls

  • Grease one plastic sheet and place a ball, cover it with another greased sheet and slightly press with your palm to make a poori

  • Heat oil and deep fry the prepared pooris on a medium flame until it becomes crisp and brown

  • Serve hot with any curry or chutney of your choice.
