Masala Peanuts (MW)





Ingredients

2 cups peanuts

1 cup besan (gram flour)

1 tblsp rice flour

2 tsp oil

less than 1/4 cup water

Salt to taste


for masala :

1 tsp chilli powder

1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric)

1/2 tsp amchur powder

1/2 tsp daniya powder (coriander )

1/4 tsp hing powder (asafoetida)




Procedure

  • Put peanuts in a microwave bowl and micro it on high or 100% power for 3 minutes

  • Take out bowl, add flours, and spices, mix well with your hand

  • Add water, oil and again mix well so that masala coats peanuts well

  • Put the bowl back in the oven and cook for 7 - 10 minutes, taking out at every 2 minutes to mix peanuts and remove the lumps using a fork (as it is very hot be careful )

  • The best way to know that nuts are roasted is to keep eye on them after 7 minutes.
