Matar Hariyali





Ingredients

2 cups boiled green peas

2 chopped onions

3 green chillies

1/2 inch ginger

5 garlic cloves

1 chopped tomato

4 tsp oil

1/2 tsp garam masala

2 tsp daniya jeera powder

1/2 cup coriander leaves




Procedure

  • In a pan take 2 tsp oil and fry chopped onion, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves and chopped tomato one by one.

  • Add dhania jeera powder, Haldi, garam masala powder and fry for a minute.

  • Let it cool and grind into a smooth paste.

  • Put the remaining 2 tsp oil in the pan and add the ground paste into it.

  • Put 1/4 cup water, boiled green peas and salt to taste. Let it boil for 10 minutes.

  • Turn off the flame, garnish with fresh cream and chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot with roti, naan or poori.
