Menthya Tambli




Ingredients


3/4 tsp methi/fenugreek seeds

1/4 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds

2 green chillies

1 tsp oil

1/4 cup grated coconut

2 sprigs of curry leaves

Roast the above ingredients in oil


Other ingredients:

1/2 cup well-beaten curd/yogurt

Salt to taste


For the tempering:

1 tbsp oil

1/4 tsp urad dal

1/4 tsp jeera

1/4 tsp mustard

1 broken red chilli

1 sprig of curry leaf



Procedure


  • Take a pan, add oil and fry methi seeds, jeera, green chilies chopped

  • Now add in curry leaves, coconut and fry on a low flame only for 2 mins (take care that coconut should not change the color)

  • Cool and transfer the fried ingredients in the mixer jar and grind into a fine paste

  • Add the beaten curd, salt to taste, and water to adjust the consistency

  • Add the tempering and serve with rice.
