Ingredients
1 cup buttermilk
3 tsp besan/ Bengal gram flour
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
For the tempering:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1/2 tsp hing / Asafoetida pdr
2 chopped green chillies
1 red chilli
1 sprig of curry leaves
1/4 cup finely chopped methi/fenugreek leaves
Procedure
In a bowl take buttermilk, turmeric powder,besan, and mix this to form a smooth mixture
Add half a cup of water to it and keep it aside
In a pan heat, oil add jeera,hing, curry leaves, red chilli and green chillies, fry for a minute
Add the chopped methi leaves , little salt, and fry till they is cooked
Add the buttermilk mixture,water to adjust the consistency,salt to taste, and boil till it becomes thick
And your kadhi is ready to serve with hot rice and pickle.
