Mosaru Bonda

These bondas are crisply fried, fluffy, and light snacks. This bonda is one of the popular snacks served in tiffin centers in Karnataka. Bondas are made with stuffings like potato mixture or mix vegetables. But these are plain bondas that are lightly spiced but turn out crisp and soft, fluffy and light texture inside





Ingredients


1 cup sabudana / tapioca sago

1/2 cup curds

1 cup maida

1/2 cup rice flour

1 onion finely chopped

4 green chillies finely chopped

1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves

Salt to taste Pinch of cooking soda

Oil for deep frying



Procedure

  • Wash sabudana and soak in curds for 4 hrs

  • Mix rice flour, maida, salt, chopped chilies, onion, coriander leaves, and cooking soda

  • Add curd if needed and mix the batter well to get bonda consistency

  • Keep covered for 10 mins and make bonda

  • Fry the bondas on medium flame till crisp and brown

  • Serve hot with coconut chutney
