Mushroom Chilli





Ingredients


1 packet mushrooms

5 tsp oil +oil for deep frying

2 onions, cut into big chunks and separate the layers

2 slit green chillies

8 finely chopped garlic cloves

1/2 tsp red chilli pdr or red chilli paste

2 tsp soya sauce

1 tsp vinegar

2 tsp tomato ketchup

Salt to taste

Chopped spring onion greens


Marinate mushrooms with:

Wash the mushrooms, cut into 2 pieces and marinate with

3 tblsp cornflour

2 tblsp maida

Salt to taste

1/2 tsp pepper powder

Make a paste using little water, marinate the mushroom pieces and deep fry




Procedure

  • Heat oil, fry chopped garlic, green chillies for 3 mins, add the onion petals

  • Saute for 5 mins on a high flame with a little salt

  • Add all the sauces, chilli powder, toss well

  • Add 1/4 cup water, vinegar mix well, add the fried mushrooms, salt if needed, toss well

  • Garnish with chopped spring onion greens

  • Serve hot with noodles or any rice.

  • You can substitute mushrooms with paneer, potato, baby corn, prawns or chicken.
