Mushroom Pav Bhaji

Delicately spiced and juicy mushrooms bhaji served with butter toasted pav buns was very unique, packed with flavors and taste.



Ingredients


2 potatoes

2 tomatoes

2 onions chopped

6 finely chopped mushrooms

1/2 green capsicum

1/4 cup green peas boiled

2 tbsp oil

2 tsp pav bhaji masala

2 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

Salt to taste

2 tbsp butter

1/4cup chopped coriander leaves

1 lemon



Procedure

  • Boil the potatoes in the cooker for 3-4 whistles, peel and mash it with boiled green peas

  • Heat oil in a pan, fry ginger garlic paste and add 3/4 of the chopped onions

  • Saute for 3-4 mins, add chopped tomatoes and fry till the oil separates or it becomes mushy

  • Add the chopped capsicum, mushrooms and cook for 5mins, followed by mashed potatoes and green peas

  • Bring it to boil and simmer for 10 mins pressing it with the back of the spoon a few times

  • Add red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, little water, salt to taste and cook on a medium flame for 5 mins stirring continuously

  • Garnish with coriander leaves

  • Heat Tava, slice the pav horizontally into two and pan fry adding butter

  • Serve with the prepared bhaji, lemon slice and chopped onions.
