Nachni Doodh/Ragi Milk

Nachni / Ragi / Finger Millet is a rich source of good carbohydrates and since it is too tiny to be polished or processed it is mostly consumed in its purest form. This can easily become a part of your daily diet in the form of chapatis or as porridge for breakfast. Nachni doodh / Finger millet milk is very good for health.

Ingredients


1/2 cup ragi / Nachni / Finger millet

2 cups water

1 cup jaggery powder

1 tsp Cardamom powder




Procedure

  • Clean ragi and wash 2-3 times, grind with little water into a fine paste

  • Strain it in a strainer and you get a thick juice

  • Add a little more water and continue the same process 2 more times

  • Add the jaggery powder, cardamom powder, and water to adjust the consistency according to your taste

  • Refrigerate the juice and serve chilled.
