Narali Bhaat /Sweet Coconut rice






Ingredients

1/2 cup rice

1 cup water

2 tblsp ghee

1 tsp cardamom powder

1 cup jaggery

1 cup grated fresh coconut

8-10 cashew nuts

8-10 raisins




Procedure

  • Wash rice, add water, and cook in cooker for 3-4 whistles

  • Add ghee in a pan and heat it sufficiently, add cashews n raisins into it

  • Fry for a second and add grated coconut, crushed jaggery and mix well

  • Cook until the jaggery melts completely

  • Now add cooked rice and mix gently all the ingredients

  • Cover the vessel and cook bhaat for 10- 15 mins on a low flame

  • After cooking open the lid and add the cardamom pdr into it

  • Garnish with roasted cashews and raisins and serve hot.
