Tambuli is a cold yogurt-based curry made by grinding a herb, spice, or vegetable with coconut and a handful of spices. Tambli tastes awesome with steamed rice on hot summer days.




Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh coconut gratings
1 green chilli
3 tbsp chopped onion
Salt to taste
1/2 cup fresh curds
For the tempering:
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
Curry leaves
1 red chilli cut into bits
Procedure
Grind coconut gratings with green chilli, salt and chopped onion.
Make a fine paste by adding little water, like chutney.
Transfer the ground paste to a bowl, and add curds and water. Adjust the consistency as per your taste.
Temper with the ingredients mentioned.
Serve with rice.
