Oats and Dates Bar






Ingredients

1/4 cup rolled oats

2 tbsp almonds chopped

2 tbsp cashew nuts chopped

2 tbsp watermelon seeds

1 tbsp raisins

1/2 cup cornflakes lightly crushed

5 dates

1 tsp ghee

3 tsp honey

1/4 cup powdered jaggery

1 tsp butter or oil





Procedure


  • Dry roast oats and keep aside

  • Heat ghee and roast the chopped almonds, cashews, and watermelon seeds one by one

  • In the same pan saute chopped seeds and raisins for a second

  • Put the roasted nuts,raisins, dates,raisins and roasted oats in a bowl

  • In a pan put jaggery and 3 tblsp water , when the jaggery is melted add the butter and turn off the flame

  • Pour the jaggery syrup and honey in the bowl ,mix well with the nuts

  • Put the mixture in a greased tray and spread it evenly

  • Cut into bars once it comes to room temperature

  • Store in an airtight container
