Ingredients
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup rava (semolina)
1 cup curd
1/2 tsp baking soda
Salt to taste
For seasoning:
2 tsp oil
curry leaves
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp cumin seeds
pinch of asafoetida(hing)
1 tsp crushed ginger
1 tsp chopped green chillies
for garnishing:
Grated carrot 1/4 cup
chopped coriander leaves
Procedure
Dry roast oats and make powder
Dry roast rava and mix it with oats and curd
Add salt, seasoning, baking soda, and water if needed (normal idli batter consistency)
Keep the batter covered for 15 minutes
Grease the idli molds, put little grated carrot and chopped coriander leaves, and then put the batter
Steam idlis in the preheated cooker or idli steamer
Steam for about 15 minutes
Serve hot with cutney
