Oats Idli with Chutney





Ingredients


3/4 cup oats

1/2 cup rava (semolina)

1 cup curd

1/2 tsp baking soda

Salt to taste

For seasoning:

2 tsp oil

curry leaves

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp cumin seeds

pinch of asafoetida(hing)

1 tsp crushed ginger

1 tsp chopped green chillies


for garnishing:

Grated carrot 1/4 cup

chopped coriander leaves





Procedure

  • Dry roast oats and make powder

  • Dry roast rava and mix it with oats and curd

  • Add salt, seasoning, baking soda, and water if needed (normal idli batter consistency)

  • Keep the batter covered for 15 minutes

  • Grease the idli molds, put little grated carrot and chopped coriander leaves, and then put the batter

  • Steam idlis in the preheated cooker or idli steamer

  • Steam for about 15 minutes

  • Serve hot with cutney
