Ingredients
10 palak/ spinach leaves
1/2 cup gram flour/ besan
2 tblsp rice flour or cornflour
3/4 tsp red chilli pdr
1/4 tsp turmeric pdr
1/4 pdr hing/asafoetida
Very small pinch cooking soda(optional)
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Procedure
Wash the palak leaves, keeping the small part of the stem, and wipe them dry
Take besan, rice flour,hing, chili pdr, salt, cooking soda, and turmeric pdr in a bowl, adding sufficient water make a thin batter (a little thinner than any other pakoda batter)
Heat oil in a Kadai and dip each palak leaf in the batter and deep fryin hot oil till it becomes crisp and golden brown color
Drain on to an absorbent paper and serve hot with hot coffee or chai ..enjoy.
