Paneer Masala






Ingredients

2OO gms paneer cut into cubes

Oil 4 tsp

2 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

2 sliced onions

2 chopped tomatoes

1 broken red chilli

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp honey

2 tsp flour



For marination:

2 tsp tandoori masala

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

Salt to tastes

Marinate the paneer cubes with the above ingredients and refrigerate for 15 mins


For the tadka/tempering:

3 sp oil

1 onion cut into big chunks and layers separated

1/2 capsicum cut into cubes

1/4 cup curds

Chopped coriander leaves




Procedure

  • In a pan take 4 tsp oil, add cumin seeds, when it starts crackling, add ginger garlic paste and fry

  • Put the sliced onions and saute for 5 mins, followed by tomatoes chopped

  • Fry for 5 mins, add chilli pdr, turmeric pdr,garam masala, coriander pdr and fry for a minute

  • Add honey, flour and mix well

  • Remove from the gas and blend it once it comes to room temperature

  • In another pan take 3 tsp oil, put the onion and capsicum chunks, marinated paneer and mix well

  • Add the ground masala paste, salt to taste and curds,1/2 cup water and adjust the consistency

  • Make it boil for 5 mins, garnish with chopped coriander leaves

  • Serve hot with pulav or rotis.
