Poddale / Snakegourd Fritters

Ingredients


1 cup Poddale/ snake gourd / Paduval Kayi

Oil for deep frying

1/4 cup rice flour mixed with 3 tsp fine Rava


For the marination:


2 tbsp rice flour

1 tbsp red chilli powder

Make a paste of rice flour, Hing, salt, and chilli powder with little water and keep aside.




Procedure

  • Wash and cut the Poddale into 1/4 inch roundels or semi-circles

  • Marinate with the paste as per your taste and keep for 10 mins

  • Roll each Pieces in rice flour and Rava mixture and deep fry into crisp fritters

  • Serve hot with rice and dal.
