Potato Wedges (Fried)







Ingredients


2 medium-sized potatoes (with skin)

Oil for deep Frying


For the batter:

3 tbsp maida / All purpose flour

1 tbsp corn flour

Salt to taste

1 tsp garlic powder or 4 garlic cloves grated

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp red chilli flakes

1/2 tsp pepper powder

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, make a semi-thick batter adding water.



Procedure

  • Wash the potatoes well and cut them into wedges.

  • Take enough water in a bowl and let it boil. Put the wedges in boiling water and cook for a minute.

  • Drain the water and wash them with cold water and spread the wedges on a kitchen towel and pat them dry.

  • Once they become dry, heat the oil in a pan.

  • Dip the wedges in the prepared batter and deep fry them on a medium flame, till they turn crisp and golden brown.

  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
