Prawn Manchurian is a very yummy and tasty dish. It is a part of Chinese cuisine. It is one dish which we order in any restaurant, which is totally delicious. Serve this as a starter or as a side dish with fried rice or noodles.
Ingredients
1/2 kg deveined and cleaned prawns
Oil to deep fry
Marinate prawns with:
3 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp maida
1 tbsp rice flour,
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp soya sauce
salt to taste
For the sauce:
5 tsp oil
8-10 finely chopped garlic 1/2 tsp chopped ginger
2 chopped green chillies
2 chopped onions
2 tsp tomato sauce
2 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp vinegar,
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/4 cup cornflour slurry (3 tsp cornflour mixed with water)
coriander leaves for garnishing
Procedure
Mix the marination ingredients with water and make a thick batter and coat the prawns
Deep-fry prawns int golden brown colour
In a Kadai take oil and saute garlic, ginger, green chilli
When it becomes brown add onions
Add all spices, sauces and vinegar
Add 1/4 cup water and cornflour slurry, salt to taste and make it boil
When the sauce becomes thick mix in the deep-fried prawns n coriander leaves
Serve hot with fried rice or noodles
