Raw Mango Urad Methi




Ingredients

1 medium-sized raw mango

Salt to taste

Jaggery to taste


For the masala paste:

1/2 cup grated fresh coconut

1/2 tsp coriander seeds

2 tsp urad dal

4-5 methi seeds

Pinch of turmeric powder

4 red chillies

1 tsp oil

In oil roast coriander seeds, urad dal, methi and turmeric, remove and fry red chillies and coconut for 5 mins

Grind all the ingredients into a fine paste and keep aside


For the tempering:

2 tsp oil

1 tsp mustard

2 tsp urad dal

1 sprig of curry leaves




Procedure


  • Wash and cut the raw mango into long pieces, put 1 cup water and boil it with a little salt

  • Once it is almost cooked add jaggery, masala paste and water if needed

  • Make it boil for 5 mins and add the tempering using the mentioned ingredients

  • Serve with rice and dal.
